How might I stop any further alerts of this nature? HP support wants to charge just to have a conversation about the issue even after they check and see the recent restoration disk purchase.

HP G60 - Notebook PC 440C

Windows Vista 32

update download alert with English heading and foreign language message body

Ordered factory restore disk set in August and rebooted system in late August from those 2 cd's

I have received several update alerts in a foreign language I can't read, in fact the entire message is unreadable with the exception of the letters 'HP' somewhere in the third or forth line and the heading.

Are these normal contacts from a HP office outside the states and if so why are they not translated so one can understand what the update concerns before any download?

I have not downloaded any of them and they don't appear to set off the antivirus internet security software as just an alert message. Has anyone had the same or a similar issue that has been previously discussed?

Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for Hewlett-Packard.
